System Preferences:
Open up "System Preferences" from the dock and open "Network."
Please use the below screen shot for clarification.
Network (TCP/IP):
Under location you can leave it at "Automatic" or if you have others ways to connect to the Internet besides Syracuse.Net, can you create multiple locations. In this case we went ahead and created a location called "Syracuse.Net."
Set "confugure" to... Internal Modem
Enter "domain name servers"... 209.2.141.2
You may leave the "search domains" empty...
Network (PPP):
Enter in as your "Service Provider"... Syracuse.Net
Enter in the "Telephone Number"... Your Local Access Number
Enter in your "Account Name"... userID@syracuse.net
Enter in your "Password"... Your Password
Select "Save Password" if you wish OSX to remeber your password for you.

Network (Modem):
Make sure the correct modem that is in your Mac is selected. Also, set dialing to the correct one for your location. Lastly, make sure "wait for dial tone before dialing" is checked.
Now click on "save."

Applications:
Open the applications folder from your hard drive and find "Internet Connect." Click on it and open it.
Internet Connect:
This is where you will go everytime you wish to dial into Syracuse.Net. Make sure all the information is correct and click "Connect" to connect to Syracuse.Net.
Once you are connected you can open the web browser of your choice (Internet Explorer, Netscape, etc).
